Beste Gert-Jan
Mijn mooiste vondst blijft vipera aspis francisciredi
En mijn favoriet van alle slangen is Malayopython timoriensis.
Ik wens je alle succes van de wereld, maar ik vind je nu al beter dan Freek Vonk!!

Your region is one I have not had the pleasure of herping yet. Once I make the pond jump I look forward to seeing all your local herps and environments. Until then, I will continue to live
vicariously through you and your website.
Thanks for the chat recently and hopefully Covid with release its hold, so I can make that first trip this year.

Siting last evening and about two weeks ago (in my pool - rescued). I think that it is longirotris but there are a number of very similar looking on your website. Is the spot arrangement and size the
key to ID?San Roque/Andalucia

Hello Gert,
your website is a gem. I enjoyed seeing all these different animals in their natural habitat.
Especially if you are trying to prepare yourself for an upcoming herping trip, this website is worth gold.
Thanks alot for the effort, I look forward to see what you plan in the future.
kind regards, T.B.

Hi,
I am giving a reptile and amphibian talk shortly and I am interested in using your close up photograph of a Natterjack toad eye.
Can I have your permission to use the photograph?
Obviously I will ensure that the photograph is credited to yourself.
Thanks very much,
Karl
Re: Photo-
Ommatotriton ophryticus, Pyrenees, Spain, May 2012, ( Introduced population )
Hi Gert Jan,
I'm Leah, an illustrator from San Jose. I've been working on a series of amphibian illustrations loosely titled "Amphibian Love". The purpose of the series when it is finished is to benefit amphibian
awareness and conservation efforts. I am at the beginning, having completed three large paintings with a target of 25 - 30. There are numerous organizations and I haven't chosen one yet, but when
it's more complete it will be far easier to shop the work around.
In my research I've found a photograph by you of Ommatotriton ophryticus that I'd like to use for reference in one of my paintings. Although the results are realistic, they are interpreted with some
minor changes and informational text as shown in these examples:
http://www.leahjayart.com/amphibian-love-1/
http://www.leahjayart.com/amphibian-love-2/
I'm asking for permission to not only reference the photo but to give you credit as the photographer in whatever form the result may take (gallery showing and/or book, or both). I don't need any
additional downloads, since what I can see on the website already will work (so there's nothing for you to do except give me the go ahead!) So far I've gotten great support from the community, and I
hope you can also assist me along this adventure!
Thanks for letting me know when you get a chance.
Cheers,
~Leah
